The work,
and the why.
A mix of very different jobs, but a common thread: each one came down to solving a real problem for the people involved. Here's what each role actually involved.

Contract Full-Stack Developer
Mares Manor Urban Farm Foundation
- Designed and shipped the full six-page website for a nonprofit urban farm — a place for people to learn about them, donate, and sign up to volunteer. Start to finish, on my own.
- Handled the parts that matter when people share money and contact info: secure donations through Stripe, server-side validation and input sanitization on every form, anti-bot protection, and safeguards for donor data.
- Built it mobile-first, since that's where most visitors open it — tuned until it scored 100/100 across the board on Lighthouse: performance, accessibility, best practices, and SEO.

January 2026 — Present · Houston, TX
Software Developer & IT Systems Administrator
Texas Combat Sports (contract) · Roku Platform
- Built and run the production Roku TV channel for a combat-sports promotion, streaming events live and on demand to viewers' TVs — 2,000+ concurrent viewers on a card, at sub‑500 ms latency.
- Own the live-stream infrastructure and network reliability: monitoring latency, connectivity, and availability during events, holding 99.9% uptime. Dropped or laggy video is the quickest way to lose live-sports viewers.
- Built a serverless AWS Lambda media pipeline that automates processing and metadata workflows, so new videos and live events publish with their thumbnails and details automatically — used across 10+ live events instead of being entered by hand.

Technical Instructor & Systems Administrator
Northwest Educational Center
- Sole IT administrator for the campus — 100+ devices, the network, and whatever technical problem comes up that day, from setup and updates to things breaking mid-class.
- Administer the Blackboard LMS end to end: creating student accounts, configuring courses, managing access, and supporting staff and students who get stuck.
- Have taught 200+ students in Computer Applications and Keyboarding — Microsoft 365, AI literacy, cybersecurity fundamentals, and HIPAA practices — breaking concepts down until they click.
- Built a check‑in system for a large community event that tracked thousands of items and moved people through in minutes instead of hours.
