Musa.
I'm a computer science student at the University of Houston-Downtown, based in Houston. I build software end to end — web apps, full‑stack tools, and computer‑vision projects — and what I care about most is whether the thing I build actually solves the problem it set out to.
What I do away from the screen.
When I'm not building something, I'm usually at the gym, out with a camera, or trying a restaurant I haven't been to yet.

Training and sports
I trained for bodybuilding seriously for years, until an injury made me scale back. It taught me discipline and consistency — showing up even on the days I didn't feel like it. I still train most days, and I'll happily lose a few hours to tennis, football, basketball, or pickup soccer.

Photography and video
Before I got into software, I worked as a photographer and video editor. It's where I learned to sweat the small details and think about how the finished result comes across — not just whether it technically works.

Trying new food
I like going out to eat and trying food I haven't had before — new spots, new neighborhoods. Give me a recommendation and I'll probably check it out.
How I got into this
From fixing things to building them
I've always taken things apart to see how they work. That turned into a job fixing phones and computers, then teaching people how the systems actually work, and eventually into building the software myself. What kept me going was seeing a real problem get solved by something I built — that's still why I do this.
What I reach for
Mostly Python, React, FastAPI, and Swift, with whatever else a project needs picked up along the way. I'd rather learn a new tool than force the wrong one.

The classes I've gotten the most out of are the ones about how computers actually work — operating systems, software engineering, databases, cryptography, AI, parallel computing, and software security.
Undergraduate research — affective computing & HCI
I'm working on an algorithm that estimates cognitive load and emotional state from the way someone uses their computer, without asking them anything. It looks at keystroke dynamics, how the cursor moves, screen time, and facial cues, hunting for the signatures that separate deep focus from stress. It's the research behind CognitiveFlow.
